A little bit about teak: Teak is a close-grained hardwood with a naturally high oil content. This density and oiliness ensures that furniture is hard wearing and highly resistant to decay and almost immune to rain, frost, snow or sun. Fresh, untreated teak has a warm yellow/orange hue that with time will gracefully transition into a stunning silvery finish. To keep the warm luster longer, teak furniture can be treated with teak oil. With a quick sanding and rub down of oil teak furniture is as good as new.
