Hugo de Ruiter excels at stylish designs that intelligently bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor living. After studying at the Design Academy in Eindhoven (1986) he developed collections for a long string of prestigious furniture brands. His designs have won kudos from fellow designers and clients for their distinctive mixture of charm and functionality.

"Outdoor furniture should be just as comfortable and sophisticated as indoor furniture, even though it is only used for a part of the year in most parts of Europe. And visually it should be pleasant to look at. Then, of course, there are extra demands regarding the durability of the materials because of harsh weather conditions. A stimulating challenge I love to meet."
